Hi, I am Kerry Watson. Professionally, I am the President of Rock CFO, a fractional CFO services firm I founded in April 2019. We offer fractional CFO services to small and medium‑sized businesses, typically with revenue between $2.5M and $25M annually. We are located in Kansas City, Missouri, and have a team of CFOs in both Kansas City and Salt Lake City, Utah.
Our CFO team is embedded in our clients’ businesses. They typically work onsite or in a hybrid arrangement. We prefer to be onsite because we want to be the CFO resource for your company. We want to know and understand your business. We are part of the team, helping solve your problems and challenges. All our CFOs have served as CFOs—either for organizations your size or as division‑level CFOs. Most of our team started in entry‑level or staff positions and worked our way up through accounting and finance. Driven and committed, we earned the title and responsibility of CFO. We have worked in businesses—often just like yours—and have served as the #2 team member reporting to the president or owner.
The issues we solve at Rock CFO are essential to maintaining a rock‑solid business. The “rock” in Rock CFO reflects our focus on building strength. We help businesses implement essential, proven, and solid financial practices. We help you understand your business—what makes it healthy, where it may be getting off track, and how to strengthen it.
Tools we use include cash‑flow forecasting, annual planning, budgeting, and ongoing performance measurement. We track results against the plan and adjust accordingly. Your team should value the partnership with our CFOs. We are here to help and to serve—not only your internal team, but ultimately the customers you serve as well.
In my personal life, I am married to my wife, Carmen Bahr. We have six children and are happy to say we are also grandparents. Our family is the joy of our lives. We have lived in Texas, Utah, Minnesota, and now Missouri. We are active participants in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter‑day Saints, where we volunteer and worship regularly. God is our strength, our guide, and our salvation.
